This is a Triple Unite (Triple Unite) gold coin of Charles I of England, issued in 1642.
The largest gold coin issued in England by the Royalists in Oxford in the early years of the English Civil War (1642-1651)* to raise funds for the war effort, it is an extremely rare and valuable historical coin.

*English Civil War and the Issuance of Coins
In 1642, the English Civil War broke out. Charles I led the Royalist faction (Loyalists) against the Parliamentarians (Parliamentarians). Insufficient funds for the war effort, he issued his own coinage. The London mint was overrun by the Parliamentarians, so Charles I established a temporary mint in Oxford.
Between 1642 and 1644, he raised money for his army by issuing triple unite gold coins.

The triple unite was a high-value coin, worth three times as much as a regular "unite" gold coin (about 9 grams), and was used especially to finance the cost of war, to pay soldiers and purchase weapons.
